The historical first 100 days of a government.
With no majority of votes in the parliament, I would like to give President Aruna Kumara another chance to form his own newly founded government after the elections. The very first 100 days would be very important and would be a very decisive period of the future government.
Why would the first 100 days have such importance?
It is known social norm that we have known, with the history of the democracy, any of an elected government would be founded, will mark their boundaries of what they would do and don't during this time. Any government will establish their tone and agenda. And they will use the momentum till the next election. This happened with the last presidency also. Ranil did his job during the very first 100 days, and the message was clear, and he used that as his short tenue for the economic reforms. And the same will happen with President Aruna Kumara too.
I've seen some posts that claim the president will use that executive presidential power for the reforms and will introduce a new constitution hereafter for abolish the executive presidency. But in reality, if he want such a reform, he would use the very first 100 days for the constitutional reforms. So if he didn't initiate that process during the first 100 days, don't take high hopes of the constitutional reforms.
