The Gift Of Love........ .
As I lie here beside you, I watch you sleep.
In peaceful slumber, with dreams so deep.
My mind starts to wander, to the time we share.
As the moonlight glows, in your soft blond hair.
The gentle light, dances across your face,
As I see beside me, an angel of grace.
For God has sent you, to be my only love.
As I gaze upon the beauty, that was sent from above.
The twinkle of the stars, glisten upon your breast.
As you breath so slightly, runs across my chest.
I hold you in my arms and a tear falls from my eyes.
I love you so much, and yet I am surprised.
That God in all his glory, and wisdom through and through.
Would ever grace my lonely life, with a wonderful love like you.
Often times I wonder, how long this love will last.
Will it go on forever, and never be in the past.
Our future holds the best laid plans.
But tonight our fate is in my hands.
As I watch you sleeping, in my arms.
I keep and protect you, from all the harms.
In this quite moment, while all is fast asleep.
These thoughts I ponder, are ours to keep.
For I know I don't deserve, a love like you can give.
I can only hope and pray to God, that with me you will live.
For still I am in wonder, how love can be so true.
I thank God every day, for the gift of love like you.
