THE GREAT LIER “AIRTEL”
This is a story of a boy who got seriously inconvenienced by Airtel.
I am an IT student and I got an AIRTEL data connection from a person who came to my university as an AIRTEL dealer.He told that the connection would be activated in a day,but it took more than 2 weeks.After two or three days of activation I got a call from someone(think from AIRTEL) asking about my address I gave to the person who sold me the connection.They told that they send a team to my home and they couldn’t contact me.That cannot be happened.I have given my home address in Galle.Then my connection was disconnected without informing me.They called me several times asking for a bill payment.When I went to airtel branch,the people there told that I can’t pay the bill because there is an error in my address. I went more than ten times to many airtel branches…and got the same answere.Anyway I got many calls by telling to pay the bill from a foodcity,but I didn’t pay from a food sity.
Then I went to Kolpity Airtel branch and told about my problem on 13th of January 2011.I went with all my documents(billing proofs…).Then the person who did my job told that everything was ok,and my connection would be activated in 24 hours.But till now I don’t get my connection activated.I went to airtel again and again.Then they told that it would be activated in another 24 hours.I complained more than ten times to airtel hot line.Everyone who talked with me got so many details from me and told it would be connected in 24hours,in two days and so many things.But still it is not connected.So what can I do????? Is this the good servise providing from an international company to the people. Sometimes they may give the connection in next day.but what about the time I spent for this before????Do the people have to spent such a long time to get a simple data connection?????What about my phone bills for the calls I got to airtel hot line(more than 20 times)???????We all have lots of works…so can we spend our time for things like this????It’s completely OK if the company didn’t lie to us…..They all lied to me…I spent lot of my valuble time on this,but still I don’t get any result.i have paid for reconnection and another bill payment on 13th.These are some names and some other details about some people I got to talk when I called AIRTEL hotline customer service…DON'T TRUST A POOR,UNPLEASENT COMPANY LIKE AIRTEL.....
1.0755005500:This is the number I got from the person who sold the sim in my campus.I think his name is Lahiru.
2.Venura Kanishka is a person who promised me to make my connection activated in 24 hours when I called on 22nd of January 2011 at 4.00 p.m.He got 15 minutes on that call.
3.Sheron rangana is a person who promised me to make my connection activated in 24 hours when I called on 24nd of January 2011 at 7.20 p.m.He got 15 minutes on that call.
These are only little details which I could written down,but I called and gave the same details about me more than ten times to Airtel. PLEASE DON'T CHEATE PEOPLE AIRTEL.
