"anyone who has an atom's worth of goodness will see it and anyone who has done an atom's worth of evil will also see it" (Qur'an 99:7-8).  Those who do good if they are Muslims or the follower of religion before Islam (when Islam itself has not revealed, like Christianity, Judaism, that were later superseded by Islam), will be rewarded not only in this world but also in the world hereafter. However, the final Judgment is up to God himself. (Qur'an 2:62 What Muslims think about Lord Buddha ?The Glorious Al Qur’an states  “And undoubtedly, We sent many Messengers before you, of them, there are some whose story We have narrated to you, and there are some whose story We have not narrated to you, and it is not for any Messenger that he should bring any sign without Allah's permission, but when the command of Allah will come, the matter shall be decided with truth, and then the men of falsehood shall lose there." "And certainly We sent messengers (rasul) before you: there are some of them that We have mentioned to you and there are others whom We have not mentioned to you..." <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qur%27an" target="_blank">Qur'an</a> <a href="http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/040.qmt.html#040.078" target="_blank">40:78</a>"For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger..."<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qur%27an" target="_blank">Qur'an</a> <a href="http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/016.qmt.html#016.036" target="_blank">16:36</a>Muslims believe that God has sent over <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/124,000" target="_blank">124,000</a> messengers all over the world as mentioned in the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sahih" target="_blank">Sahih</a> <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hadith" target="_blank">Hadith</a>. Analyze the above Quran Verses and the sahih hadeeth we can say may be Buddha can be a Messenger of Allah / God  Almighty. In Glorious Al Quran It’s mentioned about a person called Dhul Kifl   Allah the Almighty declared : Remember Ishmael and Idris and Dhul Kifl, all were from among those who observe patience. (Ch 21:85-86 Quran). Allah directed: Remember Our slaves, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and also of religious understanding. Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing ) the remembrance of the home (in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter). And they are in Our Sight, verily of the chosen and the best! Remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl all are among the best. (Ch 38:45-48 Quran). Ibn Jarir narrated that he was not a prophet but he was a righteous man. He supported his people to suffice their needs and administrated justice among them. That is why he was called Dhul Kifl. (means possessor of, or giving, a double requital or portion)some Islamic scholar arguing that Dhul Kifl is referring to Buddha in Al Quran. However it is not yet proved that Buddha is a messenger of Islam so it is remain as a theory. but  theories can be facts in the fututre God Knows Best ……….  Five (sometimes known as Ulul Azmi or the Imams — i.e. leaders — of the Rasuls) are accorded the highest reverence for their perseverance and unusually strong commitment to God in the face of great suffering.
