The President has decided to remove the Chief Executive Officer at Mobitel, Suren Amarasekera from the post and replace him with the former Chief Executive Officer of Mihin Air, Kapila Chandrasena, sources from Sri Lanka Telecom said. The Mobitel Chief Executive approved the expenditure of Rs. 60 lakhs to produce the tribal song for the Cricket World Cup by Lahiru Perera through Dilith Jayaweera’s Triad company.
It is the head of Sri Lanka Cricket selectors, Aravinda Silva, who has pushed the President to make such a decision through Namal Rajapaksa. Kapila Chandrasena is Aravinda Silva’s wife’s brother in law.
