But according to Islam, Muhammad is the last prophet (or Buddha)

of course Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is the last prophet. but there are another two more to come. one is Imam Mahdi and the other one would be Hadhrat Isa A.S. (Christians call him as Jesus). who knows anything could happen. and for your kind information my dear brother Isa A.S. is also a Prophet + Messenger (Rasul).
