Thinking to move out of the country

I am thinking to move into a different country while working in Sri lanka. My office is okay with it. They can give me salary as the country i am moving to. But the problem is my salary is not good enough to goto Europe or north America. So looking for a alternative like India or Thailand. Any recommendation for living while saving with a salary of about 1000$-1200$?

I think you can try Thailand too, but you won't have any savings . Hard thing is the visa . Tourist visa for most countries can only extend for couple of months( I think India tourist evisa is for 3 months. Correct me if I am wrong ) . You will end up paying lot more for the flight tickets.
