අඩෝ මමත් Redhat දාගෙන කුරුටු ගගා හිටිය ඔය කාලේ. මට මතක විදිහට 2005-2006 අතර කාලේ redhat 4 තමයි. cd 4 distribution එක

ඔව් ගොඩක් ඒවා aur repo වල upload කරලා තියෙන්නේ.

මම linux වලට මාරු වෙන්න කොච්චර ට්‍රයි කරත් හිත හදාගන්න බැරි උනා. වින්ඩෝස් වලටම හිරවෙලා හිටියෙ. මගේ හොඳම කාලෙ ගෙවිල ගියේ Windows XP, PE, visual studio එක්ක.

I used to use gentoo and i had to start with minimal install tarball and build everything by myself. It is lightning fast. but this comes at a cost, we are not getting automatic updates or security patches. we have to look for them and install manually.
I used to compile the kernel and do the kernel update myself.

Now i don't have energy nor time to do all these, so all of my personal computers are running Debian. still when i have to do ./configure then make && make install, goes straight to the past, Good old days.
