Stop doing shit and remove it strait away. My mother in law died from cancer started from thyroid. Same as your friend. She also got some lumps on her thyroid. Cancer spread to her lungs and only lived 5 months after discovering thyroid issue.

I'm highly recommend him to do ultrasound and goto a good doctor with the report then do a biopsy to make sure it's not spread to other parts .
