Toothpaste & Computer Accessories have a very special bond to my knowledge

I'll tell you another reason later.
When some one says "Clean Optical Disks with toothpaste", you might wonder whether this guys is NUTS or something

. But there is a truth behind this little scenario.
Toothpaste contains "
calcium carbonate" (lime stone) particles. When you clean upthe disk using tootpaste these rock solid particles help to polish out the ourter most surface of the disk. If you think about it its like the carpenters use the sand papers to polish the rough surface of furniture... If you do this carefully you can actually polish out the scratch marks, (this takes time but dont try too hard or you'll end up with a worst case scenario

)
This is the same scenario that happens when we brush the teeth. Toothpaste polishes the teeth
oh & hope you guys are familiar with the thermal paste (thermal jel ) which is used to increase the heat conduction between the CPU & the Heat sink. When I clean my CPU, I tried many things like soap, terpentine, detergent...

But nothing worked perfect as toothpaste to remove that thermal jel from CPU
looks like toothpaste has many other usages eh !!!!, (besides decorating your friend's faces while they are sleeping

)
Cheers,
