Ubuntu has been a great OS. So why dont you share your professional views, links to useful ubuntu software, and your knowledge about ubuntu.

Personally I use ubuntu as my primary OS, but use windows to use specific software, and to read some sinhala newspapers.

Ubuntu is good but it has issues. Especially with CPU scaling and fan control. Which is why I went back to using Debian (the distro Ubuntu is based on )

what is your hsdpa modem? however Ubuntu detects most of the popular brands, even mobile phones automatically.

Does it detect the hardware at all. Linux has historically had problems with broadband drivers.

In general I think Sri Lankans have to start moving to open source. I don't spend alot of time in Sri Lanka but last time I was here i noticed that there were no MS pirate software. So i'm guessing the government cracked down on piracy.
