9:36am Right, we have a couple of morose updates. The rain is yet to let up, in fact it's been pattering down all night. Huge patches of water in the outfield, and let's not even get there until the heavens relent - which they currently seem to have no plan of doing so. The game was scheduled to have started at 9:30am, which means we have already lost a couple of overs. Tony Greig, on air, reckons we will lose many more and he believes it is going to be closer to a twenty-over shoot-out, if at all. He also says it should take around two hours to mop up this outfield. The cut off time for the game to start is 2pm, which leaves the rains a couple of hours to clear before the groundstaff can get started on the field.
