As Surah 3:81 is a criterion for a new prophet who have to subscribe to or confirm the scripture of the Prophets before him, then the prevailing law in their earlier scripture shall prevail. The older Book shall JUDGE the new Book Quran (Surah 5:48) on the accuracy of its transmission.
The first words allegedly revealed to Muhammad was not arranged in the Quran as the 1st verse but at Surah 96 with the command to "Read" and not "Write"!
