Touchdown Jesus Statue After Struck by Lightning Photos

It was a strange sight, after the dubbed Touchdown Jesus Statue in Ohio was burned down after struck by lightning, The Six story Tall Statue of Jesus Christ which was raising its arm along a highway was reported to have struck down by Lightning during a thunderstorm Last Monday. It was a thrilling sight to see the King of Kings Statue which was of course a familiar landmark in Southwest Ohio, It stood since 2004 in the evangelical Solid Rock Church along Interstate 75 in Monroe, just north of Cincinnati. You can see through the Photo that the Touchdown Jesus Statue was completely destroyed.
What remained of the Statue is its Torso and up, Which is dubbed as Touchdown Jesus after its position, that seems like he is catching a football. The Touchdown Jesus Statue was made up of plastic foam and fiberglass over a steel frame. Its a rare incident for a lightning to be striking this kind of materials. Could this be an omen? Or was this just pure coincidentce. Travelers now are startled seeing a huge statue by the road.
