Troops Capture Part of AKKARAYANKULAM– NACHCHIKUDA Road

KILINOCHCHI: TROOPS of the 58 Division after fierce gun battle captured a section of AKKARAYANKULAM – NACHCHIKUDA road by Sunday (28) afternoon.

Soldiers established their power over a stretch of about 1.5 km west of VANNERIKKULAM tank after confrontations that killed at least ten terrorists.

Two soldiers laid their lives during the mission and eight others sustained injuries.

Search and clear operations in the surrounding area are on.
