very true, but 40% of the bodybuilding will be done out of the gym and that's the hardest part when you have to control food, if you eat right then you dont need to focus much on cardio..........but its really hard @ this age :P

In this World & the Hearafter
THE MAIN PROBLEM IS LACK OF GYM EQUIPMENT UNLIKE IN OTHER RICH COUNTRIES.

TO BE FRANK OUR CONSUMPTION OF FOOD SHOULD BE IN HIGH STANDARD BUT IT'S DIFFICULT TO COPE UP WITH OUR DIET ON AN EVERYDAY BASIS SPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO CANNOT AFFORD EVEN A LOAF OF BREAD PER DAY...THAT'S THE SADDEST PART IN DOING SPORT'S ACTIVITIES IN THE OUTSIDE CIRCLE...

ONLY THE POSH CAN AFFORD NOT THE MIDDLE CLASS THAT'S THE SPORT'S TREND IN SRI LANKA NOT ONLY BODY BUILDING AND GYM...WHAT ABOUT HORSE RIDING...IT'S ONE OF THE BEST SPORT'S IN THE WORLD...BUT QUITE EXPENSIVE.

yeahh.. food plays a main role..

many rely on supplements and steroids..
supplements have no magical power in making u muscular..
its just nutrition for those who are busy and unable to take a full balanced meal. there's no good substitution for a good balanced meal with rice, vegetables, meat n green leaves..
and dont forget WATER.. surely water is magical. not suppliments.
drink water as much as u can. keep urself hydrated.
    thanks.

I completely agree with doing cardio to burn fat. Its absolutely essential to do cardio and work out your hear muscles, otherwise there not point in working at all. What's the point of having a strong body with a weak heart!

But I also think to get maximum results from weight lifting, you should not mix cardio with weight lifting on the same day. A moderate cardio work out is good before a work out to get your blood pumping but if you do 30mins of cardio, you are exhausting yourself and finally left with less energy to give out your maximum at lifting weights. You need to really push your limits to stimulate muscle growth and you are not going to do that after exhausting yourself running for 30 mins.

I think its better to alternate between cardio and weight lifting exercises. If you do one day of weight lifting, then next day do cardio. By doing so you stay active every day and you'll be able to really focus on what you are doing.

But I don't recommend a 30mins cardio before a full building workout. 10mins is enough. Just to warmup.
Do the cardio separately.. Do it morning. go to the gym in the evening. After the building workout you should have a good sleep....

yeah.. i agree with u on that fact.. but time is a prob too.. many are working and hardly have time for a 3 days schedule.. so running on the the rest days will be bit of a prob..
BUT once u get used to ur cardio session before the workout, its not much of a deal..

    thanks..

true.. good if u can do that way.. but who has the time for doing all this?
very true that u deffinitely need a good sleep after the workout for ur muscles to repair..
