Gen.Sarath Fonseka.. HELL NO HE CAN'T..

simple logic....

#1 - He is a fighter....not a thinker...he will never survive in the current political environment...taking himself n Us along with him on a ride thru hell....

#2 - I present to you president Musharraf president of Pakistan....

#3 - If he would abandon his post just to get fame....or was tricked into it by the opposition to oppose the president...he is too dumb....

#4 - Mahinda rajapakshe got rid of the LTTE...the freaking LTTE....the war just ended...give the guy some time...

#5 - As evident....the LTTE is still live n kicking.....switching presidents and there by policies...just might give us another bout of suicide attacks....

#6 - I am a grateful person......i forget not a favor done....

experience or qualification....who u hire a software engineer as a manager?....out of the blue?

he was a freaking general in the army?.....do u think he knows abt road works?....finance hw to look at and fix budgets etc?

or are u planning to have him as a puppet president...who can't make educated decision...n just sit there like a nodding puppet?

do i have to state the state of affairs in North Korea....Cambodian...Cameroon....Pakistan....and nearly ever other country that let a general come to power.....

i would rather trust world's current affairs that a hair brained prof any day....

dude u must be aware hw messed up the Uni guys are....the profs there just try to cram their ideologies down students throats....

DUDE, I think you mught have come across a name "de gaulle". If not it's
completelu unethical to talk with you about politics or democracy since he's
considred 'un'officially as the father of modern democracy and he's the man
behind the sucess of FRANCE TODAY

INTRESTINGLY he's a FORMER ARMY GENERAL, When talking about
democracy or politicis we usually reffers to his name as a great person.

i ask you to consider the time periods.....World war 2.....

i ask you to consider the countries.....western with power influence n greater sense of patriotism....

by country i mean closer to home.....maybe i should have mentioned that bt i tot it was to be taken for granted....when i mentioned Pakistan etc.....

i am not as 'native' as you would like to believe.....

besides i don't think i have to mention the the fact that to those two i can quote 4 times as many such failed experiments....that crashed countries and set back their climb to prosperity by years....

Errr...You are missing the whole point...SF is not running for president as a Military Leader...just a civilian but with an uncomparable legacy...if you took the time to read the article France, USA are good examples of situations where the Former Commander of the Army, who led the army in the times of war, got elected as president in the peace time that followed.

Further... did you ever consider whether Mahinda is a suitable candidate?

Does his farther being in politics make him a good politician? Does entering politics at a very young age make him a good politician? These only make him an experienced politician..which usually means a dirty one. Mahinda's no exception. And how many non-military leaders around the world have screwed their country after they were elected? you won't be able to count the number!

Musharoff came to power not through an election, it was a takeover. So don't compare whats not relevant. Using Musharoff as your chief example just goes to prove your lack of knowledge of the real situation.

So comeback when you have something better.
