U.S.A. loses to Sri Lanka
The Sri Lankan Beach Valley Ball team claimed a revolutionary win over the powerful US Beach Valley Ball team by 2 rounds to nil in a match scheduled in the 5th World Defence Services Sports Festival being held at the City of Rio De Janeiro in Brazil.
Wasantha Rathnapala and Mahesh Perera represented the Sri Lankan Team.They won the 1st round very easily as 21-13, and also the 2nd round as 21-14.
After this game which was ended in 32 minutes,the Sri Lankan team is due to meet the Brazilian team today.The Sri Lankan team has won both of the games played prior to this one.
