When so-called Sinhala artistes and 'intellectuals' born and bred in Sri Lanka compose Sinhala songs eulogizing the Tigers, promote the cause of Tamil Eelam in their Sinhala writings, organize so-called Pongu Thamil events and make Sinhala movies ridiculing the Sri Lankan security forces, a U.S.-born Sinhala youth who grew up in a Western cultural and linguistic environment has come forward to condemn Tiger terrorism through his English songs.
He is rap singer Delon Jayasinghe who is determined to counteract the efforts of Tamil-British songstress Mathangi Arulpragasm alias M.I.A. to justify LTTE terrorism and brutality and misinterpret its criminal policies including suicide bombings as a 'liberation struggle' to deceive the world through her sings and music. Most notorious of these songs is titled 'Paper planes.' Her pro-Tiger songs are in two albums Arula and Kala.
Mathangi is the daughter of the founder of EROS (Eelam Revolutionary Organization of Students) and Senior LTTE member Arulpragasm. It was EROS that planted bombs at the Oberoi Hotel, Kollupitiya and the old CTO office, Fort during the early stages of separatist terrorism.
As a counter measure to Mathangi's composition Delon produced the song 'MIA paper planes (Diss by Delon).' Reacting to this the LTTE lobby pressured the Universal Music Group (UMG) to remove Delon's song from Youtube.
Undettered Delon has composed another song 'MIA Diss (Response to UMG)' which can be downloaded from the Internet. He will be soon making another video attacking the LTTE and its sympathizers.
Contrast this honest young man's efforts with Sinhala scum like Marshal Janatha who sang a song glorifying the 'Tamil Eelam' struggle in the early 1980s. The song was composed by Marxist egg head Prof. Sucharitha Gamlath who sees the LTTE as liberation fighters and condemns those who helped Karuna to turn against Prabhakaran.
