thats your problem :) i play what i like... i am pretty sure that if you want you can get almost anything to work in linux.
Now this is the problem.
In Linux, either a game doesn't run at all, or when you finally somehow get it to work, you could have finished it 10 times in Windows.

when something runs in linux it runs. low memory usage, more throughput... don't get stuck... etc added benifits.

all this trial and error things are there casue these people who develop the games don't support linux. and thats there fault and not linux's fault.

I wish!
And I guess your hobby is to get things to work, not actually working with things.

haha... you will get a job there don;t worry. show your attitude and be professional. thats all... its so easier to go to MS than surviving as a open source developer. best of the luck on that MS thing ;)

Someone's jealous

If you don't understand the difference, then no point talking about this.

You'll always say Linux is better. I'll always say Windows is better. This is going nowhere.

The OS a person wants to use is his/her choice. If his/her choice is good enough for his/her work, then fine. Linux can't provide what I want. If you are saying that you can emulate Windows software and work them in Linux (WINE or whatever mechanism it is), that's not good enough (for me). Still, it's running in an environment they are not supposed to run - that's my feeling. If one is fine with that, I don't care. Hell, I don't like running 32bit software in 64bit environment either. But that's unavoidable in both Linux and Windows.

I'm not saying Linux is totally crap. There are certain things that I would like to see in Windows. But those features alone can't make it better than Windows for what I expect from a system.
