UN calls emergency meeting

UN security council has called for an emergency meeting today to discuss the situation in Syria.

The meeting is due to start at 12 midnight Sri Lanka time (1830 GMT).

In the latest killing at least 90 people, including 34 children were killed.

More than 10,000 civilians have died in the fighting.

USA, UK, France, China & Russia are the veto members of the UN security council.

Colombia, Germany, India, Portugal, South Africa, Azerbaijan, Guatemala, Morocco, Pakistan & Togo are the elected members of the security council.
