DREADFUL DECEMBER” is organized by the “Underground Metal Circle” (a.k.a UMC) and is going to be the biggest Rock concert ever in Sri lanka. The floodgates of young talent will be unraveled at the Viharamahadevi Open Air Theatre on the 30th of December 2006. The event would kick off at around 3:00 pm and is expected to continue till midnight.
This project is expected to set a milestone upon the local music industry by bringing local talent to the limelight.
This show is going to be the first ever daytime open air rock concert in Sri Lankan rock music history. We are expecting to draw a crowd of around 5000 rock fans. Entrance to this show will be free of charge thus enabling a majority of fans from various walks of life to come together to celebrate an evening of rock & roll.
The main attraction would be none other than Mr Chitral "Chity" Somapala who will be coming down just to perform on this event. And the other bands performing will be as follows....
