NEVER BUY HOSTING FROM THESE WEB HOSTS. Never buy hosting!! They many sound soooo good but they are all cheats!! They trick you into buying there hosting and guess what! They place so many laws in to your account that you cannot even host a single website.
For example, HostGator.com says you cannot have more than 25 processes... that means you cannot host a php based download script! or a Image processing PHP script (that makes thumbnails). If a page has 30 images that are processed through a PHP script a user will only see 25 of them.
HostGator also has this files limit! HostGator says a account cannot have more than 250,000 files and others say you cannot have more than 50,000 files. The worst part is... each file can be a temp file or an e-mail message of an account! See the limit?
Plus, when you complain that users cannot view the site they say it is because your site is too big for a shared account and want you to buy a VPS for a huge price!
Next they also monitor your CPU usage! For example if a PHP scripts runs more than 10 seconds they will suspend your account and ask you to remove the script! The script can be slowed down because the database server is slow... but they don't accept that! they say its YOUR FAULT and BUY VPS for XXX.
One host also told me that I cannot upload a file for more than 120 seconds via FTP (because of CPU limit) and asked me to get a faster internet connection to avoid it!
NEVER use these UNLIMITED web hosts! they are all fakes! NOTHING can be unlimited!
Why do they succeed? Because 6 bucks for a person in the US is nothing... and most people just make HTML websites without any use of PHP. For them its ok... But for people who want to have a nice, decent website these limits are nightmares.
