UNP MP Ravi Karunanayake said yesterday that what the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had told Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa Jeyaram was the very same thing that the UNP had been saying all along.
Clinton, during her meeting with Jayalalithaa had expressed her concern regarding Sri Lanka, saying that innovative ideas should be worked out with regard to the war displaced persons and the national issue.
Mr. Karunanayake said the government should handle international matters tactfully at this moment without making a muddle of everything. “Thuggery and aggressiveness will not resolve anything,” he said.
