Imagine Cup 2010 (a software competition) final event

There were Teams from Pera, Colombo, SLIIT, UOM. all were good human who lives in real life & with reality.

We SLIIT students went to Imagine Cup to Idea look in to good Software & concept.

Start competition SLIIT team "HELY" started with great presentation with good concept, followed up by "GreenBros" team they have good presentation by concept was bit had some up & downs .. then there was our little SLIIT masters "JIIB" team have to say presentation was something new & cute, they have some years to catch up improve with there skills, Well done bros.. then it was time to "MakeIT" they was quite ok. i really can't remember about them. but I rember well about Team "Collectivists" there was one pretty lady with pretty mouth, which is equal to all boys mouth in competition, she was the saver of the team "Collectivists". Really happy about there skills in presentation & amazing QA help them lot to rank up well. after that there was presetation about "Saggezza" and "Saturnin" i was not there to get idea to my mind... no comment about them..

Then there was Last Presentation of Imagine Cup 2010. "Team: 4-Alliance" Some black dressed wired guys with black sun glasses... I through that mite Some minister maybe coming to event this people are guards of him. lol.. then they comed on stage... i was like "what the hell".. then they started presentation. (Sad to they were some brothers from UOM-IT) they used to say there names were confidential ... lol... (what ^&*) they named them self as AGENT 1, AGENT 2, AGENT 3, AGENT 4.... started like this "We are going Show world greatest software " or something like that... bla bla.... . .. started showing ANIMATION in Microsoft Imagine Cup Software Competition ...lmfao... . . . + they showed something like youcam with face detection.. lamffao.... little sample of Open CV... lol. they think that we are fools +judger's. sorry to say. 1st Time I feel ugly about UOM. later i found out it not UOM-eng, its UOM-IT.. then they showed some kind of Approve letter from Government no idea what it was ,So they ended the film session .. then there was Question session from judges... there were no any Question about the there product.because there were no any product there were only damn video.... So they got few good comment about the show off... 1st - Judge's said "Don't be so confident about your product. because we are the one who decide it & try to show something real , security risks was the main concern in judger's "... lol ... i think that this is enaf to imagine about this product. after the presentation guys from UOM-iT stand up and clapping them ... no idea why is that... i'm still wondering about it)...... lolzzzzzzzz... we gave good huuuuuuuuuuuwak what else ... we should dooooo... never seen ass project like this... lol.. even our 1st years do better than this......

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh.... its time of treat ... .... i was superb ... Thanks Microsoft. Hodata kanna dunne.... Little Pizza,piece of Cake, and many more. talking about me. i had to plates... lol.... getting hungry ha?? lol

then there was time Judger's to Announce winners started with losers ..... my fellow.. "4-Alliance" got 7th place.. lol... I had my biggest huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuwa in my life.... lol ... UOC & PERA joined With SLIIT ... for huuuuuuuuuuuuuwa... lol

According to result 1st place - UOC, 2nd - SLIIT, 3rd UOM....

Then our SLIIT ppl uploaded Our Wining SLIIT photos to facebook. these damn Agent Got mad @ us ... stated sending messages to our SLIIT friends...
then They Started Banding our SLIIT friends facebook profiles... (praneeth/yohan/wahab... etc & many sliit groups)...

Really have't seen guys like this in my entire life... feel so sorry... about there foolish guys...

WE SLIIT ( 2007 NBQSA (Project TripWire) GOLD , SILVER(Java p2p Networking) , 2007 APICTA GOLD ,2008 NBQSA GOLD ( Project Kamza),2008 ICup 1st runners`p,2009 Icup WINNERS,They came to final 12 for the FIRST TIME IN SRI LANKAN HISTRY..

Don't just account it. Anyway SLIIT is too costy, I mean there is a point
on it. I mean value/cost (value per cost).that makes me force to do BIT(external)
and only rich person (who can afford 5 lacks ) can study good syllibus.


Anyway A/L is nothing on image-cup.

If you are being recieve life Threatening outside the facebook too,then I recommend to go to the police and acknowledge them quickly.Otherwise this will be more complicated! Before it getting more complicated and too late.

Well it was pretty obvious to everyone who was there at iCup that these morons calling themselves classfied agents were trying to get the cup with a combination of cool videos and sadly got a little bit of politics involved. I guess the panel got pretty pissed off at that
threatening outside can be a real mockery for these guys if they try it It's dumb if it goes to that level too
It makes me sad to see that none of the UOM guys are like the special agent moron who's also a student ambassador for microsoft. I don't really get how an uncivilized dude who has no respect for the judges (or at least knows how to talk politely to someone important in front of an audience) ended up there
But we'll make this point real important.
@Agents : May be some of us didn't get 3As at ALs but I assure you some of us here did Just because you get high marks in Chemistry, Maths and Physics DO NOT THINK that you guys can rule @ IT
Because we're professional there and we're practical Which is why we've won stuff over and over again keeping you losers of agents at bay

One thing to clear out is it UOM CS from engineering faculty people or the IT faculty people?

Cos its hard to think they're from CS (Im not saying every efac one is good). And dont take this in the wrong way but if its IT people, they actually might not have got ALs to bang that much on about

That said, i should say this : even though I'm in UoM efac, I really believe AL is not the best way to choose people for uni.
I know this because there are friends of mine who really deserve to be in efac who cudnt get thru bcos of our AL system.

Anyway I would say dont take these kind of acts seriously

they have disable all members of wining imagine cup team and few supporters(yohan/lahiru/eranda/praneeth/etc).
So they can't bare this lost. all photos of great victory ws uploaded by guy called praneeth hettiarachchi.. these losers have reported him to Facebook and his profile is currently been banded. Its clear that they can't the bare the lost.



Note - these guys are from UOM-IT faculty. any other faculty from moratuwa is not related to this. even UOM-Eng guys are also so disappointed about this

Agree with buddhikamh. These guys are not from Engineering faculty. But the problem is most time some one speak about UoM it implicitly mean EFac. Actually Praneeth also thinking that these guys are from EFac. (I'm not saying that every EFac guy is a good boy though) .

This happened in the last year also some students created a poll on Facebook and dragging EFac students also in to that. But this time I'm happy about the SLIIT guys since the've understood the truth. And congratulations for being the runners up.

I think you don't want to worry too much about those guys. May be they have played Mafia Wars too much. I think moving in farmville is better for them .

I feel sorry about the CS students who worked hard for their reputation last few weeks they have done great job. So its better to mention that these morons are not from CS Saying they are from IT does not also mean every IT student is like them.

And about the AL issue from my experience it does not have any thing to do with IT not even with the field selection in our faculty . So don't care about that.
