Tomatoes, green chilies, egg plants and ladies fingers will be prohibited from being sold in markets in Kelaniya from the end of April, Public Relations and Public Affairs Minister Mervyn Silva said.
He added that these vegetables will have to be home grown by the residents. Minister Silva had also informed officials to provide the necessary seeds and fertilizers at a reasonable price.
