No idea about Benz vehicles anyway maintenance will be very high Compared to SUVs you mentioned
Specially if you are gonna do it with dimo.

The alternative option for this is BMW F10 which is diesel one is a relatively good car but however most of cars are being abused over last 10 years. This is because a lot have been bought by people who used to have allion/premio. I hope its not same for w204

Generally when it comes to European vehicle current owner matters alot, even the best model can be abused very easily

Don't have any first hand experience but one of my friend used a w204 c180 kompressor for brief time. He said that it is like a glorified Toyota Corolla 141.

    These people never learn.

I am telling this again and again.
    Get a Hilux, a 90's one.

I once drove my Hilux from Kalmune to Kurunegala ( more than 300km ) without an alternator.

I bet no Benz could do the same.

    So,

If you want to go anywhere, get a Benz
If you want to go anywhere, and come home, get a Hilux
