A ceremony was held at the Jayasekararamaya at Kuppiyawatte, Maradana on Sunday (Dec. 9) to mark the fourth death anniversary of the Venerable Soma Thera Organized by the Soma Himi Gunasamaru Foundation (Soma Thero Commemoration Foundation) and Deshabimanee National Movement. The anniversary falls on Wednesday Dec. 12.

Addressing those present the Venerable Mawarella Bhaddiya Thera said that the best way to honour the late Soma Thera was to continue his selfless service for the cause of the nation and Buddhism. Well-known musician and singer Jagath Wickremasinghe sang the Ven. Soma thero felicitation song.
