I Need a software that can convert films encoded in xvid to DVD format that is .vob (i think the video codec is MPEG-2.The conversion should be very fast. I tried quite a few software but all took about 90 minutes to convert one film, i need something that does this conversion in about 30 minutes.

get a faster machine if you want to convert it faster. If its a 2 hour video, 90 minutes for a DVD is about the normal time.

Your right it is a two hour video some are even 3 hour videos is there no way to convert them faster.

This is problem when i convert from .vob to.avi some films take only 15-30 minutes to be converted why can't it take the same time when the conversion is from .avi to .vob

because of the DVD video standard. It usually has a 5000kbs video bitrate so it takes a lot more data so it takes a lot more time.

So basically what you are saying is that there is no way so increase the speed on conversion

With software alone, no. You can increase the speed by lowering the video bitrate but that means low quality video in the DVD.
