I have troubleshooted a friend's lap in the past.

I remember it is a problem with Hibernation option turned on. Disable Hibernation in power options.

This is a hard one to solve.. Did you try the hibernation option off as someone suggested.
The probable cause of this malfunction is more related to the Graphic card changing the power state depending on the load.
