Is there any one who plays Violin in western style. Please help.
I need a help in tuning a violin in western way. In Hindustani music, strings are tuned for Pa(lower) Sa (middle) Pa(middle) Sa(high) (i.e. G-C-G-C in western if I'm correct).
As far as I know western violin is tuned for G-D-A-E. This might be Pa-Re-Dha-Ga in hindustani. But I have seen some people interpret this in different ways (like Ma-Sa-Pa-Re).
I'd be grateful if someone can clear this for me.
