If they say it can't be repaired then you'll have to give up as nothing we can do about it. anyway you can try lanka laptop house at dehiwala if you are nearby. about two years ago they had a technician who could fix hard disks. I am not sure whether he is still there. but anyway contact them and ask if they can do the job. they have a website so you can get the contact details. their charges are not that fair as I know but they might do the job. so try it.</blockquote>
