Well, I feel kinda curious about the whole thing sometimes! Why these people want this dead planet so badly? I know what you gonna say but do they have spent that money for researches about this world? There are infinite things are here to research! You know what I mean? That the thing.. !

Space explorations will go on like every other exploration for many reasons such as whether there is or had been intelligent life out there, whether there are minerals or other elements which are not found on our planet. Also, scientists believe the sun will go out one day and that earthlings will have to keep another planet in 'handy.'
Surely it will increase the long term chances of the human species' survival.
As for other research, they are being done everywhere, even at the bottom of the sea.
