Opera crashed on me couple of times. I didn't try the latest build which they say fixes a lot of reliability issues. But....Firefox 3 RC1 is going pretty well as well.....So I'm using it mostly.

They *(opera) have not still corrected the issues they have with ogame.org site. That is a major blow! Ah...and another thing....They block Opera at work :/ They only let us use IE or Firefox. :/ I don't know why but I didn't want to argue....

With 35 tabs, it was using about 125MB which is not bad at all. Opera's memory consumption is not bad either, but I didn't check it with beta 2 or the build after it. :/
