guys,

what's the best web hosting company in sri lanka with nominal charges?

i have a website hosted by dplwebmarketing.com, from 8.40p.m yesterday(27th) till now 11.18p.m (28th), their server is down.
how can we rely on these companies???
their mobile is also swtiched off and can't contact them also. they have only one contact number and an e-mail id. sent a mail,but no reply for that also.

i'm in deep trouble cos of this.

what do i do now???

any ideas?

If that dplwebhosting.com is local company, go to their office and raise hell.

the reason is they do have only an address.
i found that site from the internet itself.
it's from peradeniya road. kandy

even webhostinglanka.com doesn't have a registered office.

why do these sl companies operate like that?

if u have some time,just go through the local hosting companies,you would see that most of them they provide only 1 or 2 mobile numbers and no land numbers and no address even.

so should i transfer my site to a different hosting company?
what do you'll recommend?

Why the devil did you get hosting from a company that operates like that ??
I never host any sites with joints like that. Even online free hosting sites are better than those.

transfer IMMEDIATELY! Get hosting from a reputed company with good service and uptime. I recommend www.godaddy.com

Better to switch to reliable company just like godaddy or webhostingpad. Masekata $5 (Rs. 550/=) wage thamai charges.

Get a hosting account or VPS or Dedicated server first.
Download all your files, databases,everything else (the whole site) from your present host and upload to your godaddy account.
After than modify the DNS setting for your site to point to the godaddy account.

I don't know about SL hosting companies. I didn't see any reliable ones yet.

GoDaddy.com is good.

But I am using JustHost.com

They are much cheaper than GoDaddy and you can use unlimited domains, unlimited bandwidth & unlimited space.

But the only issue is you can't host mp3, video files in their shares servers.

I'm using JustHost to host about 5 of my websites for almost a year and a half. No problem at all. no downtime whatsoever upto now.

For hosting Your website You can contact any online site,that is best for you,not only srilankan site You can host any where through online site,then if you can't able contact the Company means You can leave it choose another hosting provider,So that while choosing the Hosting provider choose best one....I have hosted my two website at Thewebpole
