There is no such price difference or quality difference between Western Digital HDDs and other brands liks Seagate, Maxtor, Samsung. Maybe Hitachi is not so great.

The only plus point WD has over others is that only they make 10k RPM desktop drives. They are expensive.

but now we cant find original Maxtor or Samsung. all computer parts are come from china.
I got original sata WD hdd from Singapore. it's more poweful man...

im using Western Digital SATA Hard Disk 250GB 16 MB Cache.it`s Powerfull than Maxtor Hard`s.I get that Rs-7000.Brought Frm Amarica.

Powerful? How?

This is not to trash any brand. But when it comes to hard disks, it is very hard to say this drive is better than this and likewise. In one benchmark, one brand will perform well, but in another benchmark, the same brand will trail others by miles. There is only one desktop drive that really is the king. It is the Samsung F1 model. They are the fastest desktop drives available so far. (Sure the Raptors can beat it in some tests, but Raptors are luxury products with very high price per GB factor)
