CPU - Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 Socket 775 Box Core 2 Quad Q6600, Quad Core, Core Kentsfield, 65nm, 64bit, 2.4GHz, FSB 1066

RAM - 2GB DDR2 800 MHZ 2x 1024 mb KINGSTON-CORSAIR

VGA - Nvidia 8800 gts 320mb

HDD - Maxtor MaXLine Plus II 250GB SATA 150 7200RPM 8MB /SATA 2/SATA

CASE - ATX CODEGEN 500 W Black

I'm using ASUS P5K, its good MB..

But few things .. If you happen to have a NON-SATA HDD/DVD ROMs from your old machine.. this MB has very few places to plug in he..he.. (unless you use some SATA converter or something)

The other very important thing is if you are a gamer.. U'd better think twice because this board has only 1 PCI-E slot, so u can't go SLI or CROSSFIRE in future!!

depends on where you live.U in LK best board for you is Gigabyte P35-DS3P rev 1.1 for 19k.Best CPU would be E6550 for 23150LKR.Q6600 will cost around 36k.

Why not a E6600 and overclock crap outta it? With DDR2-800, he will not limited by RAM up to 3.6GHz. E6550 on the other hand can reach 2.8GHz. (i'm not saying it is the limit, but it might not reach 3GHz). That mobo will be wasted if u don't overclock.

Raptors are only availably up to 150GB, and u can buy two 250GB disks for that price. Why not RAID-0 is with two 250GB disks?

Go for a laptop... if u can live with what u got, like I do... Like no OC n stuff.. But it's really nice... I'll never go for a desktop again....
