Lifetime doesn't necessarily decrease by overclocking. You can overclock to 3.2GHz and even increase the lifetime than at default clocks. It is the temp that matters. (Besides, if not overclocking, a cheap mobo would be enough)

Go for a laptop... if u can live with what u got, like I do... Like no OC n stuff.. But it's really nice... I'll never go for a desktop again....

1. Asus Vanila boards (the basic models like P5B, P5K) are not very popular among people.
2. That HDD is too old. SATA-150
