Earlier it was thought that the intelligence comes from the mother. This is not exactly true or proven. It's only the Fakebook that propagates this. But no recent studies have ever found key intelligence genes on the X-chromosome explicitly. Most likely it's attributed to both parents and note that this doesn't imply smart parents to always produce smart offspring either. It's far too complex.But dumb parenting can cause dumber offspring.
