Nope!
Coconut bread kanawa godak ratawal wala minissu.

Search about "agricultural diet". It was there in europe and many parts of the world many centuries ago. We are just doing it with the ingredients we can find easily.
We were used to eat pol sambol with rice, so we did the same with bread when wheat was available. The problem is our economy developed very recently, and the food habits are still adapting to that.
