i didnt say its the best cause its THX chanster i said it from experiance....and i have listened to a lot of crappy sounding THX subs...(the Gigaworks 7.1 system)....this subwoofer have such high amount of clarity to it...and yes THX means that this system will not distort sound on even high volume levels..so that kinda makes it one of the best..the best 2.1 system u can get here...sorry i didnt see his budget constrain

if ur under 5000 buddy ur very much out of reach from high quality Audio...if u can just manage to get arround 6000 RS u can buy a Altec Lansing ATP3 like chanster said...it has decent quality bass and all....and u can check out some Edifier sub woofers @ unity plaza just listen to few of them some of them sound just brilliant...good luck..

i am using a creative 2100 2.1 sound system for last 3 years and still works with out a problem
You mean, it powers up and some sound comes out of it? If it is ok with you, why should we care!

More bass=Logitech Z5500 10' of pure bass(Although the creative ones produce more deep base)
And no S750 is far better than the Mx5021 as i have seen both in action.........

yes the z5500 has more bass (and thats all it has over powering bass), yes the s750 has more bass (cuz it has a huge amp and a huge woofer) but the S750's satelites are no mach for the satelites of the MX5021...wich produce more crisp sound...more harmonics...to me it just sounds more natural..

yeap guess ur best buy would be the ATP3...it has very good bass (u have to position the subwoofer correctly to achive this) it has a decent loudness...but the sound gets distorted when its near the max volume but thats not a problem cuz u cant expect more from a 6000 RS sub...it has very stable satelites, and they deliver some very clear sound...go for this one buddy

That maybe...but if you are watching a movie with X-Fi or playing a game with X-Fi the S750 will own the AL....but for slow audiophile music the AL will prevail i guess.....

Totaly agreed...cuz its a 7.1 system and it will explode the whole thing with sound...if ur doin 7.1 kinda stuff...the altec on the otherhand is a classic setup and yes it do sound wonderful on slow music with a lot of harmonics and detail..

creative was not bad...but now they start to feed the thought of quality over quantity...old creative inspire subs were awesome....new ones suxx...Gigaworks subs are not as good as they used to be.....honestly they have almost lost the passion for sound....if u want passion with quality go for Klipsh, Altec Lansing, even the new commer Edifier

    :)

I saw this speaker system with an i-Pod dock included, very nice and very expensive!

I couldn't really listen to it.. but by the looks of it you can tell its not an ordinary set of speakers! or is it only the crust? I don't know!

Hey what do you guys think about Klipsch? Very expensive their stuff!
For Highend i'd recommend JBL, Bose, Klipsch,
For just bassy speakers: Logitech Z5500, Logitech Z5300
For Plain 5.1: Creative Inspire 7.1 / 5.1 (These produce deeper bass on subs compared to Logitech), Logitech X540
For Cheapo: Generic, Logitech, Creative, All producing

    & Lastly Studio: Yorville, M-Audio
