Exactly! It is one of a kind!!! I have flashed mine (DRU-810) to Benq DW1640blood_brotha said:i use a sony DRU 810a for nearly 4 years now... no problems what so ever

"Good" is not a good term because there is hardly any price difference between the burners from different brands (i.e. price premium). So, we should aim for the best. And Toshiba (Samsung) is not something people like much.chanaka89 said:Samsung is good

Not that feature rich as the latest models, but the burn quality and read performance impeccable.
Not sure about them. That brand name is not much spoken in the DVD burner world.nuwa1 said:Guys what about TDK? does anyone have one?
Sony DRU-810A is a rebadged Benq DW1640. Benq is the OEM. Same hardware. Different firmware. Benq makes their own and Sony makes their own. By flashing Benq firmware on the Sony, it becomes a Benq drive. Benq has a cool software that let u tweak ur burner. It is not supported by the Sony firmware.nuwa1 said:Anusha what do u mean by flashed Sony DRU 810 to Benq DW1640? is it possible?![]()
