yes, VGA is the key for games.
However, the QX9770 is the fastest CPU, not because of its quad cores, but because it IS the fastest (desktop?) Those cards will only run games FASTER than their single chip variant, ONLY IF a particular games supports SLi/X-Fire. I still prefer the single chip cards.

LOL I'll make that stay as it is as if not it will screw my acronym.I also prefers single chip cards/rigs coz I've seen not much advantage from those multiple cards/chips.I mean they are kinda like for world records.I dont need more than 35FPS in a game at 1440 x 900 resolution.Or in 1600 x 1200.Thats huge and since human eye cant see more than 25FPS The more will make it smoother but more than 35-40 FPS means you have a very good eye to see it.Also the power requirements will be high for this cards eventhough manufactured in 65/55nm process.
I would have agreed with you, except one game. UT3! That game needs 40fps to feel smooth. I was amazed at first. FRAPS was giving almost 30FPS and it was still stuttering!!! In prostreet I got hickups while FRAPS said 24 ~25 FPS.Seems out that my VGA drivers are messed up coz 7.7~7.11 all are one on one.After that It played well.Crap like that may be happened you.Also 9.10/9 are the worst IMHO.Anusha said:
