it a sinhala language word.
(umbata="for you" sinhala gangster word. )

Oh my god, Akilar25.

I gather, by "umbata" meaning "for you," and by this being a sinhala GANGSTER word, in this context "umbata/for you" is actually a threat? Equivalent to "bitch im gon fuck you up, im coming for you, you're going to get it" basically?

Also, does sinhala mean anything as a word, other than being a general language?

this may or may not be a threat, it depends on the context... this is actually more of a guy slang word, used by most of the guys (very common, almost all) when addressing their close guy friends. it is not a threat in that case, just used in general conversations. (females using this is not very common, also not common for addressing the opposite sex)...

this is quite indecent and not to be used in formal language except for friends...

about "sinhala" the story goes that the original word was "sinhale" which means lion (sinha) blood (le-pronounced as lay).
today it's only the name of the race, no other meaning.
