802.11b standard: WiFi, 11Mbps
802.11a/g: 54Mbps
802.11i: Security standard with hardware encryption coprocessor
802.11e: Quality of Service control for VoIP

Time Division Multiple Access (GSM and GPRS)
Code Division Multiple Access - CDMA

2 - 6 GHz licenced bands
Up to 50km range
70Mbps per client, 150 - 620Mbps per wireless access point
IEEE standards 802.16X and 802.20

When you reach 50kms the speed will get reduced.
