its depend on u my dear computer field mainly you can deveide in to two areas one thing is software and hardware & networking if

if you intresting in software then like u said you can select a language and do that spcially java

and when it come to Networking and hard ware you have lot of choice
example A+ ( hardware ) N+ (Networing) MCP, MCSA ,MCSE and CCNA ,CCNP

I can see more than two.

for a example there we can tage all programmers and divide them into.

web programmers with the multimeaidia background knowledge
C++ /java application programmers ( these ppl are know how to write standalone applications ).
Kernel programmers ( these ppl are dealing with writing device drivers and so on , working with the device kernel).
Os Development . ( embedded software).
various kinds of security engineers. ( ex- embedded kernel security enginner is my field.)
Multimeadia and Image processing ( these ppl are speciallized on image processing and game programming , Dirdtx and openGL api's).
Business logic developers ( ex :- MIS systems , data marts etc ....)
Embedded side application programmers ( ex :- J2ME programmers).

well let's take a C++ application developer , then these are the subfields that you can master . Please consider if you know all the things means you know nothing.
* COCA for the Apple computer environment.
* .Net win32 win64 and MFC and windows form for the windows environment.
* QT , GTK+ linux application developer.
* or a cross plactform GUI builder.
Then let's talk about the web programmers.
some are speciallized in the PHP and some are java and some are with the perl and some are also ASP.net . So there is a huge difference among them. For a example if you are learning the PHP, you have to learn that to the death. Then
that's your field.


so the computer science is just only only two fields , it's like a sea . you can cut and take your area of that sea .

anyway both of them provides you a common expertise , and it's not speciallized for some specific area. To be specific you needed to do a MSC.

Anyway I have already decided to do my MSC in electronics.To go in the kernel security side electronic is a must. And a country like Hong Knog that you can learn
in very low price.

There is really no valid now SLITT , but it's better than the BIT and BCS
.

But you can do it for more less price inside the UoM external BIT.

So therefore I think SLIIT is Now useless.

There is not a final year for the BCS !

There are only three levels as I knew ,
Cert , Dip , and PGD levels in the BCS ! well But I don't know to compare it with a
degree course. BCS is not a degree course. However a pareall person who did BCS with me ( i'm bit) has got more skills than me . So therefore I think think about the BCS also.

Don't lie man , you are markerting BCS here , please don't advertise it here.
well BCS is just good to imporove your skills. Like fast BIT. But same skills.
