What's the error "Attempt to free invalid pointer 0x00000etc" when running headless Chrome? 🤔

I'm trying to run headless chrome w/ some args on an Ubuntu 16 and it constantly throws this error and dumps the core.

src/tcmalloc.cc:283] Attempt to free invalid pointer 0x00000etc [hex changes with args used]

Any idea how to fix this?
