What's wrong with my HDD

Why does the Transfer rate drop to almost 0 between 50% and 60%?
Is it normal?

I had a MAXTOR 40GB!! Very disappointed with that HDD!! Not good!

My HDD even had some bad sectors!! did you check yours?

I have no idea how this HDTune works. Is it reads same starting sector to ending sector in all times, or it is randomly selecting the start and end locations?, If it is the first case it may be due to some surface error of the disc. If it is second case i have no idea what is going on

I think it reads the same starting and ending sectors everytime.
