Located in the Inland Sea of Japan in the city of Takehara, Hiroshima Prefecture, the island is better known as Usagi Jima (“Rabbit Island”) because of the numerous feral rabbits that roam the island. Before becoming a haven for rabbits, the secretive island was notorious for its role during World War II as the site of a Japanese poison gas factory.

Today morning in the radio said that this island (in japan) was a camp during WW2 and they have brought these rabbits for target practices (there were only 8 brought) after so many years the population has grown which they don't have a count yet. Its called rabbit Island now.
