Which DVD Writer is the best. Sony or Asus ?

I'm going to buy a new DVD Writer. Can anyone tell me whether Sony or Asus is better?

I'm using an ASUS. It's good. That being said, I can't tell how SONY ones are since I haven't used one. But I have used a SONY DVD reader and it failed on me after a couple of months. When you're buying a DVD writer look for features such as Buffer underrun protection, Overburn , recorder buffer size etc. My ASUS support all those features.

I think both are same. I think if you buy asus from Epsi computers they're giving 3 yrs warranty. but nt sure...ask and see from them.

Given the present state, I would go for an Asus, because AFAIK, the drives from Sony that came after the DRU-810A were not as good as the 810A. (810A is one of the best drives ever made; it's a rebadged Benq DW1640)
